Every register up. Every card protected.
AnchorSix keeps retailers in Utah, Arizona and Idaho selling: point of sale, store networks, e-commerce and PCI compliance across every location. Stores open early and close late, so we do too: call any time, 24/7/365, and a real person picks up.

What we fix
The IT problems retailers call us about
The internet drops and the registers go with it.
We monitor every store’s internet, network and POS stations around the clock, add a backup connection where it pays off, and know your POS’s offline mode, so a carrier outage doesn’t mean a line of customers you can’t ring up.
The PCI questionnaire comes around, and nobody is sure how to answer.
We help you work out which self-assessment applies, shrink what’s in scope by separating payment systems from everything else, and put the required controls in place, so the answers are true and you have evidence behind them.
Every location is set up a little differently.
We standardize stores: the same network design, POS configuration, Wi-Fi and security everywhere, documented, so opening a new location or replacing a register is routine instead of a project.
Phishing and gift-card scams target your store managers.
Fake vendor invoices, gift-card requests from a “manager” and stolen logins are everyday threats in retail. We add email filtering, MFA, impersonation protection and short staff training, including for seasonal hires.
PCI DSS
What PCI requires, and what we do about it
If you accept credit or debit cards, the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) applies to you through your agreement with your bank or payment processor. Version 4.0 brought new requirements, and the last of them became mandatory on March 31, 2025.
- PCI DSS v4.0.1
- Protect cardholder data and the systems that touch it: secure network configuration, patching, malware protection, strong access control, logging and monitoring, regular testing and a written security policy. Version 4.0.1 is the current revision of 4.0.
- Requirements that became mandatory in 2025
- Among them: MFA for all access into the cardholder data environment, longer passwords, targeted risk analyses, and, for e-commerce, managing and monitoring the scripts that run on your payment pages.
- Annual validation and quarterly scans
- Most merchants complete an annual Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ); larger merchants may need an on-site assessment. Many SAQ types also require quarterly external vulnerability scans by an Approved Scanning Vendor. Card readers should be inventoried and inspected for tampering.
- State breach-notification laws
- Utah, Arizona and Idaho each have their own laws on notifying customers (and sometimes the state) after a breach of personal information, with different triggers and deadlines.
This is a plain-English summary, not legal advice. Your payment processor or acquiring bank decides which validation applies to you, and your attorney can confirm your breach-notification duties.

Practical AI & governance
AI that sells and serves, without exposing customer data
AI can write product descriptions, answer customer questions and spot inventory trends. The risk is customer and payment data ending up in tools nobody approved. We help you get the gains and keep PCI scope where it belongs.
- Pick approved AI tools for marketing, service and buying
- AI governance: a written AI policy, approved tools and regular review
- Keep card data out of AI tools and chatbots entirely
- Vet AI add-ons for your POS and e-commerce platform before they’re installed
- Train managers and staff, including on AI-written phishing

FAQ
Common questions
Our processor says we’re PCI compliant. Are we done?
Not necessarily. Using a validated processor or point-to-point encryption can greatly reduce your scope, but you’re still responsible for your own network, devices and annual validation. We’ll show you exactly what’s left.
Can you support stores in different cities and states?
Yes. We manage every location remotely around the clock, with the same standards everywhere and one accountable team.
What happens if the internet goes down on a Saturday?
Call us, any time. We work the outage with your carrier, fail over to a backup connection if you have one, and help your team use the POS’s offline mode until you’re back.
Do you handle our e-commerce site too?
We secure the accounts, admin access and integrations around your store platform, and help you meet the PCI requirements for payment pages. Design and marketing stay with your web team.
How fast do you answer?
Our support line is staffed 24/7/365, and the average call reaches a real person in 22 seconds.
