What we fix
The IT problems real estate teams call us about
A buyer gets an email with “updated” wiring instructions.
Criminals break into or impersonate agent, title and lender mailboxes, wait for closing, then send fake instructions. We add impersonation protection, MFA and mailbox monitoring, and help you set a call-back rule every client hears early and often.
An agent’s email account was taken over.
One compromised mailbox exposes every transaction in it. We lock down sign-ins with MFA, alert on suspicious forwarding rules and logins, and, if it happens, contain it fast and help you work out who needs to be told.
Agents come and go, and their access doesn’t.
Independent agents, assistants and teams join and leave all the time. We set up a clear onboarding and offboarding process, so access to email, transaction files and shared drives is granted and removed when it should be.
Agents work from phones, cars and open houses.
We secure the phones and laptops agents actually use, without getting in the way of a showing, so client documents and contracts aren’t sitting on an unprotected device.
Client data & fraud
What protecting client data requires, and what we do about it
There’s no single cybersecurity law for real estate. The obligations come from state privacy laws, your partners, your insurers, and, for some businesses, federal financial-privacy rules.
- State breach-notification laws
- Utah, Arizona and Idaho each require notifying affected people (and sometimes the state) when certain personal information is breached, with different triggers and deadlines. Transaction files are full of it: Social Security numbers, bank details and IDs.
- FTC Safeguards Rule, for some businesses
- Mortgage brokers, appraisers and other businesses providing financial services may be financial institutions under the FTC Safeguards Rule, which requires a written information security program with specific controls. If your company offers these services, ask your attorney whether it applies.
- Title and escrow partners
- Title and settlement companies commonly follow the ALTA Best Practices, which include protecting non-public personal information and verifying wire instructions, and expect the agents they work with to handle client data carefully.
- Insurance requirements
- Cyber and errors-and-omissions insurers increasingly ask about MFA, email security and wire-verification procedures before they’ll write or renew a policy, and may limit coverage for social-engineering losses.
This is a plain-English summary, not legal advice. Your attorney can confirm which laws apply to your brokerage or company.

FAQ
Common questions
Our agents are independent contractors. Can you still protect them?
Yes. We secure the brokerage email, shared drives and platforms they use. You decide how far your policy reaches.
Can you stop wire fraud completely?
No one can promise that, because the attack often starts in someone else’s mailbox. We make your own accounts much harder to take over, catch impersonation attempts, and help you build a call-back habit that stops fake instructions from working.
What should we do if a client already wired money to a fraudster?
Act within minutes: call the sending bank to request a recall, file a report at ic3.gov, and call us. We’ll secure the accounts involved and help work out how it happened.
Do you support property management companies too?
Yes. Tenant applications and owner payments carry the same risks. We secure your property management platform, email and payments with the same tools and one accountable team.
How fast do you answer?
Our support line is staffed 24/7/365, and the average call reaches a real person in 22 seconds.
